Where did samba come form?

Whilst Samba has a Brazilian origin, its roots come from Africa. In particular, the West African salve trade and African religious tradition brought the rhythm of African drumming to Brazil. From there, Samba was born.

Is Samba a partnered dance?

As a ballroom dance, Samba is partnered. As mentioned earlier, partners can separate and perform individual moves. On the other hand, Samba can just be performed individually or as part of a large group.
